Dees class

Today in dees class i printed off my finished magazine pages i then checked over my web content page looking over it checking for mistakes i then did my magazine evaluation because i have finished.

Today in Dees class i finished both my magazine pages on on banksy and one on what people do outside of college both were done on microsoft publisher. we had a meeting discussing what we had to do to finish and how much time we had left.

today in Dees class i started making different layouts for my article just so i had lots of different ideas for my articles. I used different colour schemes and different styles just so had a variety of layouts. i made six different ones so i had a good number of choices.

Big johns class

today in big johns class we continued filming for our infomercial. we decided to start again so we started off by making a storyboard and also a script. we then went out and started filming. we filmed the snack shack and also done an interview with big john next we are going to interview more lecturers and do the rest if our filming.

Today i started to doing more research for my magazine by getting information on what people do outside of college by going aroung the class and asking people. i also got more information on banksy and his background

Dees Class

today in Dees class we had a meeting and sorted out a schedule for the magazine and how long we have to finish it. we then went on an done our planning by saying the tile of our articles and also finding images to go along with our articles.

microsoft publisher

Today in Dees class i was shown how to use microsoft publisher which i will be using when i am making my magazine. while using microsoft publisher i had to make an article on pop art by Andy Warhol. The article had to include 2 columns of text, 3 images, a suitable colour pallet, suitable font and it also had to be legible. i did this so i knew how to use publisher in the future. While doing this i cut the text so i had 3 columns i also make a bright yellow background so the article would stand out. I also tilted some of the photos too make the arrticle look better.

Today in big Johns class i did my It Skills where i had to look for different search engines here are the 4 search engines i found.

Dees Class

On monday and tuesday in dees class we looked at different parts to a magazine. We then went on to trace an article from a magazine in my case it was kerrang after we traced it we had to say the different parts of the article EG title,graphic and verso and recto. we done this so we knew the different parts of a magazine which would help us when we were making our own magazine.

Big johns class

Last week in big johns class we got put into groups so that we could make a infomercial about creative industries so that people who want to join the course can see what its like. We also got shown the different parts of making a commerical.

today we tried to think of an name for our magazine but we could not get one so we just called it commercial enough. after that we evaluated pages from magazines saying one thing we like and one thing we did not like we had too do quite a few of these just to show we understand how to evaluate.

college magazine

Today we got issued a new brief saying that we had to design a college magazine. we elected a chairman which was james and we all took different parts of the magazine to do. we also looked at last years magazines for ideas.

on the 20/09/10 in Dees class i took my image from photo shop and used it for my home-page for my EPK added tool bars  and links to the merchandise site.

today in Dees class

today in Dees class i did a web content workbook i then scanned one of my photos from janes class so i could work with it on photoshop. i created three different types of my poster the first being the original poster but instead of being white the poster was purple this goes along with the punk genre, the second poster has marks on the map showing where the bands would be playing his is done in pink and blue as this also goes along with the punk genre. My third poster has the tour dates written in red to show where the bands are playing and on which date they are playing

8/10/2010 johnny cash podcast

Today in big johns class we did our group pod-cast which was done by me shaun and james, warren was meant to be in our group but he was off.  so we added photos to our pod-cast and also added 3 songs and we also done our talking parts.

4/10/2010 Dees Class

Today in Dees class i learned how to use html Hyper text Mark up Language. I learned  how to put my name in and also how to put the writing in bold or italic. I learned also how to put in a background colour.

Making my EPK

Today in Dees class i added a johnny cash video to my EPK my downloading video download helper, streamclip and also perian i used to these to help me put the video into my EPK.The video i chose to do was hurt by Johnny Cash.

Big Johns class

Today in big johns class i finished my Blink 182 Podcast by doing my voice recording. i then started my group podcast with james on johnny cash as shaun and warren were absent.

today for my pod-cast i got information so i could speak on my pod-cast i also got some photos to go along with the music. My podcast was done on garage band . i got the photos through iphoto.

Image manipulation task

Today in Big Johns Class I did an image manipulation task which included me creating a folder called Epk,s and making two sub folders in the folder called scripts and images. I then took a photo of myself on photo-booth i then saved this photo in my images folder called Alan Stewart.

Johnny cash Epk

Today we had a meeting where james was elected to be the chairman. We then put ourselves into groups and decided which our favorite artists and bands were. We then chose one we could all agree on ours was johnny cash. We then started too research johnny cash so we have information for our Epks.

Today in Dees we went on iweb and i created a blog about myself  and about falkirk i did this on iweb so i got used to using it.

today in Dees class we found EPKs for different bands we like and then gave them a rating out of 10 my first band was http://blink-182.Com  which i rated 9/10. my second band was http://pendulum.Com which i rated 10/10. My third band was http:// bowlingforsoup.Com which i rated 8/10. My fourth band was http://www.paramore.Net  which i rated 7/10. The last band i rated was http://biffyclyro.com which i rated 9/10

big johns class first day

firstly we got introduced to the course of media production and also digital video.  Today i collected photos for my pod-cast which is about blink 182. i collected images from google then pressed control and saved the photos to my iphoto this done so i could use the photos in my garage band.

today i took photos of myself using photo-booth i then saved these photos in my file in iphoto file which was called web content  I was able to manipulate the photos in photo booth. After this i learned how to do a screen grab which is done by holding the apple button then the 4 button. After this i looked for different band epks

first day at college

the first day of college we made blogger accounts on the mac in Dees class. In Robs class we interviewed one of our colleagues and made a biography about them then in Gavin's class we made articles about the biographies.
